After I left the girls in Cleveland, I headed straight back to the airport to pick up Claudia. On the way to Akron, we talked about things and marvelled at the difference in landscape between Ohio and Texas. I've said it so many times, I'll say it again, I wish those two states were right next to eachother! But my God, they're so different.
Anyway, we stopped at Mustard Seed on the way and loaded up on organic fruits, shampoo and wine, and bottled water.
I had no problem getting back to Copley, it's like going home now. Even though I grew up in Medina, I also spent a lot of time in Copley as a kid and it's where the rest of my family is now.
We had dinner at a super yummay Thai place in Montrose called "Pad Thai." Strange name - great food. We met Ruth, who is my grandfather's best friend. JoAnne didn't go - she doesn't like the food there!

Me & Grandpa
Dinner was really nice. We talked about Grandma and the experience that Claudia and Grandpa had with talking to her through a medium. I must say I was skeptical of this, but after this weekend I tend to believe. I want to believe. I miss her, and I felt like she was close to us all weekend long.
We went to Ruth's new house in Crystal Lake for a little while. It's beautiful.

Aunt Claudie
Came home and cracked the organic wine and sat out on the front porch with Claudia and JoAnne. The neighbors were setting off some pretty friggin' amazing fireworks. They must have spent a fortune! They went for over an hour and they weren't no Buy 1 get 15 free jobbies either. It made me feel so happy to be "home." Then a cousin of ours came over, he's Claudia's age. (My mom and aunts have over 50 first cousins!) I was really enjoying his company. Apparently though, he made the moves on Claudia (I didn't notice) and when she went to bed, I sat next to him on the swing and he made the moves on me too! No wonder I'm so warped - check out my family. I had to laugh about it though.
The fireworks were pretty.
JoAnne and I stayed up until after midnight talking and drinking wine. At this point I'm starting to forget what sleep is like! (It gets worse though.) Haha!
