Title: The Fifth Act

Rating: T for violence.

Summary: FFVII Time-travel. Gen. Cloud has an accident with a Time Materia.

Author's Note: This chapter was a pain in the neck to get right during editing, but in the end, I've become a little fond of it. ^_^ Hopefully you like it too.

YOU SAID THAT IT WOULD BE BETTER. YOU SAID. Sure, I might not hate Angeal quite as much BUT HE NEVER SAID SORRY AND OH MY GOD WHERE IS CLOUD AND IF HOJO TOOK EVERYTHING OUT and if he did, whoa, is Hojo a secret badass in DoC? IMMA SIT DOWN SOMEWHERE AND CRY.

What's more liekly tho is that he was flanked with the ever faithful, ever po-faced Turks. If so, I'm going to have to slap some bitches.

As much as the Turks HAET Hojo (with the fire of a thousand suns), Tseng just doesn't have the political capital to oppose him directly.

I don't think ANYONE does, really.

True, and then there's the whole, if we oppose him, we'll end up like them. I'm sure that's why Hojo allows arugably the most dangerous men/woman on the Planet view his work. Because it's Turks against the world, and if any of them disappeared...

Or maybe they're way less tight knit than this and I'm making mountains out of molehills. I'm not really aware of the Turks characterisation in FFVII.

I'm not sure either - they get most of their characterization from Crisis Core and Before Crisis.

That said, the entire fandom agrees with you, so you're probably spot on.

:sobs: Why must my inner!Zack have such a potty mouth? Why why why? It should be noted that I play fast and loose with FFVII canon, due to me never having actually played the game. Hopefully all flaws are not glaringly obvious.Zack frowned. In hindsight, it probably hadn't been his best decision to pick up the abandoned staff. But he'd needed something to fight off the weirdly armoured monsters - his broadsword had snapped after the first few, and he'd left Angeal's sword with Cloud, still unable to stomach using it - and trying to fight them using just his bare hands was complete stupidity. He'd ignore the pins and needles that had raced over his body when he'd touched it, firmly fixated on killing the armoured lizard dog things. Suddenly, he'd felt very cold, the mountain chill going straight through the material as though it wasn’t even there. Then the golden light had come, and everything had gone strangely black ( ... )
