Ahh, the Golden Pavillion! I remember it was one of my favorite places to visit while in Japan. *flails* I took a gazillion photos of basically everything there, hehe. xD

The manga museum was great too! I got a Phoenix pencil while there, but I don't know what I've done with it since. ;; At least I still have the phone charm attached to my camera, heh. x3 Though seeing that Phoenix reminds me of how I saw the Tezuka World museum while there, but I didn't actually go inside because the only day we had to explore I was dead tired from travel. ;; Oh well, one day, dangit. o9

Ooh, I love stumbling upon cool places when you don't intend to. And hey, always good for pick-me-ups when the places you wanted to go aren't available for one reason or another. xD

And sadly, the closest of those places is Chicago but that's like 6 hours away from where I live. orz Oh well, there are tons of things to do there (and that I did do about ~10 years ago now xD) and the rest of the cities so there's also that. :Bb

Oh! I also got my ohayocon pics up last night! I have a tag with just my photos, and one overall for Ohayocon stuff (that should get more stuff if I ever get off my duff and reblog more ehehe...). But yeah, enjoy. uvub

Osamu Tezuka is still the boss! The merch when I went wasn't quite so amazing though, it was more flavor-of-the-month stuff, Shonen Jump and whatnot. (Although I have since been to an Osamu Tezuka exhibit and that had plenty of themed merch - guh, so difficult to resist spending all of my money on trinkets!)

Yeah, I did actually look at swinging around your neighbourhood but I'm afraid there wasn't quite enough there to grab my attention even after your excellent sell. :P Too much of a detour to justify, especially since San Fran is going to blow a massive hole in my wallet, urgh. Do you have any recommendations for Chicago though? (beyond the Sears Tower?) I'm mostly going there to visit one of my expat siblings, but I'll have some time to kill when he's working and no idea what to do with it!

Oh wow, so many fantastic cosplays! LOL Team Rocket, that looks like it would have been fun (especially as you found Pokemon to steal!) That was a super-good Genesis indeed and ahhhh Kaitou Kid! <3 My jaw dropped at the Walt Disney and Mickey, what an epic (and supremely well executed) idea! Thanks for posting them! Times like this make me wish I actually bothered getting a tumblr. :)

Hehe, Tezuka's stuff is amazing. I still have a ton of his stuff that I've yet to read (and still haven't finished Phoenix, gah *headdesk*), but it's so damn awesome, I can't imagine someone not liking his stuff. *flails*

Heh, don't worry too much. All the cities you do have have better stuff anyway. Like, the only thing Louisville for certain does better is Kentucky Derby season and that's late April, early May so. :B Anyway, I didn't do a heck of a lot in Chicago seeing as I was on a mission trip, but the two things that stood out to me the most were the Lincoln Park Zoo (free to visit! But I think like, everything else is more expensive to make up for it) and Navy Pier. Navy Pier is a bit of a money sink if you aren't careful tho. |D;

I did have fun! And got more hugs while in the TR cosplay than fandomstuck, hehe. x3 So many great cosplays I wish I could've gotten more of (I am still kicking myself for missing that Sephiroth and Cloud I saw running around, but alas), but still got plenty that were superb. C: And no problem, I needed to get them posted anyway. xD

Haha I know right? I haven't finished Phoenix yet either, it's surprisingly hard to track down some of his series in English.

Cheers for the tips! I'll probably give the zoo a miss (Singapore more than adequately covered that) but will check out Navy Pier.

Ahaha you can never catch all the cosplays you want to at a con! It's impossible! :P
