"She's insufferable through the whole sodding month Potter," Draco hissed, eyeing the garland-stringing, carol-humming harpy with blatant disdain. Harry didn't so much as glance up from the Prophet hiding his face.
"It's Christmas, Draco. Just ignore her if it upsets you so much."
"It's our fucking house, dammit, and-" Dracos whisper cut short as Hermione rounded the corner, practically oozing her detestably bright, though thankfully not perennial, chipperness over the rug.
"How do you like the decorations?" Her smile was radiant. Draco glanced at Harry, only to meet his pointed glare.
"They're lovely dear. Do stay for dinner." Hermione beamed, and started humming again.
