One of those days.

It really is one of those days at work. You know you're having a bad day when your morning can be summed up by an HOUR AND A HALF LONG conversation regarding the toilet paper roll dispenser, and how it isn't strategically placed in the women's bathroom stall. It's also been a day-long fight with Microsoft Word, as well as a scavenger hunt to find the "perfect" clip art of a YAM. Top my workday sundae off with an "everyone has already left, but I'm still here!" cherry... you can imagine the mood I'm in right now. It's been a "didn't take my lunch until 6 pm" kind of day. Sigh.

I wish I was like the panda in my icon, nom-noming away on some bamboo. That would be just swell. As an added perk, I wouldn't have to pay taxes either. I would lose out on indoor plumbing and TiVO, though. Hrm.

Thank goodness for gangwaygirls getting me through the day, per usual. Her major contribution today, other than our usual not fit for public consumption snark, was this:

As she said: "HOLY SHIT I WANT TO THROW MY MONITOR ACROSS THE ROOM THIS IS SO CUTE"

She also threw me another (funny) bone right before she left. She was making fun of the fact that I was working on the newsletter for the church, so she signed off by saying "Peace be with you," and I rocked an "And also with you," in return. We're hardcore and religious. Or something to that effect.

I also broke my two-day non-smoking streak. Granted, this streak only occurred because I was broke (influx of bills last week) and needed money for gas and food instead of cigarettes, but nonetheless a sadness. I was going to see how far I could take this spree of fresh air, and I lost the battle during my fourth hour of trying to fight with Microsoft Word. Those text boxes in Word 2007 are going to be the death of me. Why can't they move like everything else? Why must it be a bastard?

I'm in such a weird mood right now. Okay, I need to get back to work, so I don't end up being stuck here until midnight.

P.S. I promise I do still love my job. A lot. I adore it. It's just... we all have these days. It's actually rather nice to have a job where what I do is important and means something.

EDIT: It's now 9:40 pm, and I'm just now getting to leave work. How fun. I leave you with Pretty much the funniest thing ever.
