I would love a Diet Coke right about now.

I came into work today completely terrified. We all have those days that we have been dreading all week, knowing that it's going to be a bear, and that somehow everything MUST get done perfectly. Today was that day for me. So much to do, and so little time. I had three big projects that had to be wrapped up by noon, as well as a bunch of other ( Read more... )

Oh, the stupid Mimi. Our Science teacher in seventh grade made us watch that every time he didn't feel like teaching (which was pretty often). We all passed notes/slept/generally ignored it.

I still even remember the theme song... which is now stuck firmly in my head.

I remember the episode where the old guy got hypothermia, and the guys in my class simply could not handle people getting the old guy naked to warm him up. Our teacher was really smart in thinking middle schoolers could handle that stuff. Or maybe it was 5th grade...

Wow, you paid a lot more attention than I did. I remember a boat, and science-y stuff, and that's about it. I was busy writing notes to my friends...

"My dearest Ree-Bear,

What's up ((up arrow)), down ((down arrow)) or all around ((spiral))? I'm in Science, watching the STUPID Voyage of the Mimi. Fun, fun! Did Ryan call you last night? I got grounded off the phone for yelling at my mom or something."

Etc.

I had to. We had quizzes on it. :|

I was still in the "Do you think he likes me? Maybe I should send him a note asking him to check yes or no... but don't leave room for any MAYBE boxes!"

Hm, i don't know if I ever sent any of those notes. My notes to guys were like, "Dear Brad, You're stupid. Angel is cheating on you and you don't even notice. I wish I was your girlfriend. I'd never cheat on you." Then I'd throw it away and write in my diary about the unfairness of life and the STUPIDNESS OF SOME PEOPLE. THEN, sometimes I'd pretend I actually was Brad's girlfriend, and I'd write what I thought girls were supposed to write their boyfriends.

Yeah.

Okay, see in fifth grade we were not to the cheating stage yet. I think we thought we could get pregnant from holding hands or something. Also, that was when I discovered my love for Val Kilmer.

So I wrote about Val Kilmer a lot in my diary... because I was a freak. :(

I wrote about the lead singer from All-4-One, if it makes you feel any better.

Oh, and in third grade, Donnie Walhberg.

I think, as punishment, you need to post in a reply to this comment a picture of the lead singer of All4One and say that you used to like him. Yes.

Well, first I have to remember his name.

Holy shit, they're still together?!

Hm, okay, his name is Jamie Jones. If I had thought hard enough, I probably would have remembered that.

Evidently he's done some solo work as a gospel singer.

HERE.
