well it helps to know what you want to eat and how long you want your food to last because then you can figure out how much you need. so say for example: you want your food to last for a week. You figure out what you want for lunches: do you bring sandwhiches? frozen lunches? do you buy your lunch? then you figure out what you want to cook for dinner - how much you'll need...that kind of stuff.
i don't buy too many vegetables but generally i know that bruises on stuff like tomatoes, oranges, etc...etc.. are bad.
