intertextualising makes me sound smrat!

So. It's 9:30am and my mum's just gone back to bed and my brother hasn't left his bed and here I am eating Snakatas and listening to Frou Frou while I compare and contrast the construction of gender in Much Ado About Nothing and Harry Potter and their meaning within their respective social circumstances.

This is quite possibly the coolest way to write a lit essay.

And yes, once again I find myself comparing Shakespeare to Harry Potter. However, I don't think my lit teacher knows of my fascination thus believes me to be choosing it for its pop-cultural and intellectual merit, not to mention its appropriateness.

And I know that the people who read this journal are probably the only ones in the world who won't judge me for this.

IGNORE THE IRONY OF THIS ICON.

lit, shakespeare, harry potter
