Yes I got married in Las Vegas.
I know I have not posted in livejournal for awhile but I have been busy.
We had our perfect 7-7-7 wedding in Las Vegas at the Heartland mansion. Perfect but not flawless due to some bugs. Anne ordered some pictures and I will scan and post htem as soon as I get them back.
We drove from California on the 6th and Jesse joined us. The kids have been been to Las Vegas before and didnt know what to expect. My mom tried to organize everyone at the Las Vegas embassy suites so families with kids could have seperate rooms. The hotel was new and was really nice and believe it or not had no slot machines. That is a very rare thing in Vegas. Anyway my father and brother met me in the lobby and bought us all dinner. Thank god Jesse came and got her own room so she could watch the kids. ;-)
The bachlor pary was well .. pretty non existent so my brother got creative. Poor Anne did not bachlorette so my brother got us droke off our asses and partied with us throughout the strip. I was not a big fan of the party as I was nervous about the wedding and needing drinks more than boobs from strip clubs. I already have my wife's. :-)
The next day I realized I FORGOT THE SHOES FOR THE TUX! I had to wear vans and the limo driver forgot to pick us up. We were supposed to be there by 3 with the driver picking us up at 215. It was 3 and I was still at the hotel ready to lose it. My brother Chris who was the best man drove Anne in her kia with the seat rolled back so she could fit in with the dress to the wedding. Thank god for my brother!
The wedding was simple and elegant and it worked out great. I was nervous I would cry or pass out but I did not. I kind of teared when I saw Anne in her wedding dress walking down the stairs of the Hartland mansion. She was so beautiful and I have never seen her look so happy before. God it was a beautiful sight. :-)
Anyway I am left handed so I crated a few chuckles at the wedding when Anne tried to put the right on and I put out the other hand because I left the minister said her left.
We walked out as husband and wife. That night was one of the best nights of my life. I could finally relax and enjoy the company of family. I got to know Anne's brother Bryon alot more and got drunk off my ass from many drinks both from our wedding dinner at Bucca di Peppo and at the room. I stayed up til 2am and Anne up to 5am. It was our night.
After being married I thought I would feel closer to Anne which is true, but to my surprise I becaue more attached to her kids. They were no longer her kids but rather our kids I felt like. I took Craig and Amanda to the aquarium at Manday Bay and the Egyptian exhibit at the Luxar while Anne and Jesse drove home seperately. The kids were so good at the wedding and I had to reward them. :-)
Craig was the ring boy and Amanda was one of the flower girls.
We went on a 7 day cruise next which I will mention in a later post when I have more time. I got to get to work ...
