Lois was supposed to be his shield against the past, but the look of disdain in Lex’s eyes still stung, and the beautiful woman on his arm was like salt in a newly opened wound.

And his aim, as always, was perfect.
But if he could be honest with himself, he would admit that under all that anger was jealousy.

And wanted him as much as he always had.
