.............................................

Jung Yunho arrived at school, only minutes before the bell.

He always showed up this late after game nights. He didn't want to get swarmed first thing in the morning by fan girls and boys, congratulating him and praising him. He had liked it for the first few games but it had gotten boring. He was still half asleep and didn't want to listen to the squealing voices of his fan girls.

He was however hoping he would catch a glimpse of his angel, who always arrived at least an hour early for class. He had always wondered what Jaejoong looked at so early in the morning. Where his eyes half open still drowsy from sleep. Or maybe his always so perfect hair would be ruffled.

He never did see Jaejoong in the morning though, it was like the boy purposing hid.

Yunho heard the bell ring and decided he should probably get to class, that is if he didn't want detention for being late.

….........................................

It was lunch time and Yunho was walking to the cafeteria with his friends ; Yoochun, Changmin and Siwon . They had their own table in the cafeteria, no one else ever tried to sit there so they weren't in much of a hurry.

Yunho was chatting happily with Changmin before he felt his small group stop. He looked at Yoochun who was leading the group only to see that his little angel had bumped into him.

He saw Jaejoong looked up at Yoochun, with a slightly frightened look in those large doe eyes.

Yunho saw Yoochun give Jaejoong an odd look before saying “Are you new here?”

He saw Jaejoong freeze slightly while a hurt look over took his face.

Jaejoong lowered his head slightly, stuttered out a “N-no.” Before almost running away.

Yunho stood there frozen, he wanted to run after his angel, to grab hold of him and cuddle and console the hurt boy. But his body wouldn't move, the only thing he could do was watch, the petite boy's retreating back.

'I see you Jaejoong, you may not think it but I do.'

........................................

Yunho was in a bit of a panic.

Jaejoong stopped going to the basketball games and Yunho nearly lost his will to play. But he wouldn't let his team down. He knew it probably had something to do with what Yoochun said to the younger boy and that made Yunho worry.

'What if he actually likes Yoochun?” Yunho questioned to himself as he made his way to the library. He hadn't seen Jaejoong all week, almost like the other was avoiding him.

“What if he goes to the games for Yoochun and I'm just fooling myself?”

Yunho was normally very confident in himself but when it came to Jaejoong he felt like a little school boy with a crush. He always found himself sneaking glances at his angel or purposely trying to find the other during school. He noticed that Jaejoong didn't have any friends and he was determined to change that.

Yunho entered the oh-so quiet library and was surprised to see the object of his affection sitting at one of the tables. Yunho silently cheered for himself, he had never been alone with the younger and figured if he was ever going to confess now would be the time.

As Yunho got closer he noticed Jaejoong was hiding his face, but he could still see a defeated look on the boy's face.

Yunho wanted to wipe that look off the boy's face, he didn't want to see Jaejoong hurt in any way.

Yunho was soon standing in front of the table and decided to left the younger know of his presence.

“Excuse me, mind if I sit here?”

He saw Jaejoong jump slightly as he realized he wasn't alone. It took him a few seconds before he actually looked up at Yunho. Yunho noticed that Jaejoong stopped moving and was wondering if he had sent the pretty boy into shock.

So he asked once again. “Can I sit here?”

He received a small nod and sat himself down across from Jaejoong.

Yunho took a close look at Jaejoong, his beautiful, doe eyes were once so bright were now dull and near lifeless but seemed to be mesmerized by his presence. Yunho wanted to bring back the life in those eyes, to see a sparkle in those sweet blue pools, oh that would make Yunho's day. Long soft eyelashes framed his eyes and gave him a rather feminine look. His skin looked so perfect and soft, Yunho had to resist the urge to caress that adorable face. He could see that his plump red lips -that he wanted to kiss so bad- were formed in a pout.

He noticed Jaejoong's eyes seemed to be trained on his face and didn't look like there were gonna leave it soon.

“Are you memorizing my face?” He had to ask, and he enjoy the ruby red that flashed across his angels porcelain cheeks.

“Umm...no.” Was the meek reply.

He flashed a smile as the other tried to look away in embarrassment.

“So..” Yunho began, propping his head up with his arm. His eyes watching Jaejoong's face to see his reactions.

“You stopped coming to the basketball games, why?”

He saw Jaejoong look away in something akin to shame. Jaejoong turned back to him a second later, and he noticed that those doe-shaped eyes were slightly teary. Yunho wondered if he asked the wrong question.

“I-I didn't feel l-like going a-any more.”

'But I need you there.' Yunho spoke in his head but not out loud. 'I need my good luck charm, the one thing that brightens up my life.'

Yunho could see that Jaejoong was watching him carefully, waiting for a reply. Yunho pondered for a second, then decided now would be the tine to confess.

He took a deep breath, before spelling out the one sentence that would change everything.

“You should start coming again.”

Yunho took a chance and reached over the table. He took Jaejoong's small unbelievably soft hand in his own. He intertwined their fingers, feeling a spark of heat run up his arm at the touch of his loved one.

Yunho looked up into Jaejoong's wide eyes. He could see them staring directly into his own. He looked deep and could see that sparkle again, he could see the love dancing through them.

Yunho smiled at the beautiful boy, his smile full of love which was returned in full force as Jaejoong smiled back, his face lit up with happiness.

…...................................

Yunho won every basketball game for one reason.

Up in those bleachers, at the very back was one Kim Jaejoong. And Yunho always made sure their eyes met at some point. One glance into those lovely doe-shaped eyes would melt his heart and give him the strength to win. He would smile up to his love and would receive a shy one back. That smile alone made him the happiest man alive because :

Kim Jaejoong wasn't much of anything.

He wasn't popular or noticed.

He was smart, but didn't have much common sense.

He wasn't on any teams or in any clubs.

He was also the man who stole Jung Yunho's heart and he would never give it up.
