This didn't seem like a bad idea, and I'm bored. So I stole it.
1. First Name: Shawn R Norton
2. Age: 20
3. Location: Tallahassee
4. Occupation: Full time student, part time library assistant, part time/ freelance comic book writer.
5. Partner?: Nicole. Three Years.
6. Kids: None.
7. Brothers/Sisters: Kyle is 16, Ivy is 28.
8. Pets: I personally don't have any, but back home there is my dog Star, and my cat Skitz.
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life: Scripting. I'm currently working on two comic scripts (both limited series... one for P9P, and one that I'm shopping around), as well as random 2-5 pagers to practice other style and work with other artists. Trying to get picked up is pretty stressful. Um, money stuff. Like, the lack of it. My day job doesn't pay very much and I just had a bunch of work done on my car. Graduation in a year, so I have to finish stuff like my foreign language requirement and such (why oh why didn't I pay more attention in French in highschool?).
10. Where and for what did you go to school for?: Florida State University, currently attending. I'm a creative writing major with a minor in philosophy (and working on another minor in Religion). I'm hoping to write comics professionally (as in, as a paying job that I can support myself) after college. No plans for further education.
11. Parents? Both lovely people who live over two hours away.
12. Who are some of your closest friends?: Y'know, it should say a lot that by merely answering this question I'm expecting drama. *sighs* that shit didn't stop at high school. Ah well, here goes.
The people from highschool I'm still close to: Nicole (obviously), Russ, Alex, Ginny, and I suppose you can count Hellinger even though he didn't go to my school. Alex Ginny and Chris are in another town, and I'm not so good about keeping in touch... but when we do hang out sometimes things get downright personal, and I love them all to death. Nicole is my best friend, and I've gotten over most of the block of "can't tell her everything!" cause... well, it was dumb. Russ is cool most of the time, but sometimes he's hard to talk to, and sometimes I don't wanna cause I live with him, and that has the potential to blow up in my face (like it did with Brit). Post-highschool most of my friendships start as gaming buddies who start hanging out a lot because we just really like being nerdy. The best of these, who are truly more than just gaming guys, and are some of my best friends ever, are Stephen and Jake. Seriously, they each are totally awesome. Ane, Evan, and Nick are other friends of mine. Evan and Ane are fun company and always up for something, and Nick is a former teacher of mine (who just got a fellowship!) who has pointed me in the right direction for most of my comic book writing (so far as to introduce me to P9P).
