i'm not even going to go into how horrible my new years was. steve's poor planning and being reminded that dave still wouldn't mind seeing me in a gutter somewhere and then not being allowed to go to Geek Central early in the night (aka-driving from about 9.45-11.30) on New Years Eve to actually be w/ people who do enjoy my company...yea. dad was worried bout the driving long distances new years eve. but see, i woke up the next morning and drove out that afternoon and it was rainy and foggy and nasty and the driving conditions would've been better the night before when the wheather was good and people hadn't gone out on the road yet after all their drinking and new years celebrations etc. i would've been fine. but anyways...

started painting Xanadu's case. it looks kinda neat, but it's not like i'd hoped. and from an artist's perspective, i'm sad that it doesn't look like it should. but zach pointed out that it's caleb's case and does he care if it looks right, or that i did it for him? ^_^ (and then the g/f part of me thinks: But that means i REALLY want it to look good!)

speaking of which, discussed "what if's?" and have more peace of mind now about them than before. they're still there, but at least i know what to expect, so that's good.

i wish i had a job. give me something to do for a few hours a day and produce some income. i like income. lets me do things, like buy stuff.

got a "guilt gift" from mike yesterday. just chocolates, but even still.

this has sorta turned into a random thoughts entry. i think i may've had something to say when i started, but i think i just decided to write b/c i haven't in a day or two and i'm kinda bored right now b/c ryan is playing on the computer and zach is just laying around cause he's done his game and caleb's at work and there's no adult colour belt class tonight so we're stuck waiting for caleb to get back and cook dinner at 9 or so, then decide what to do the rest of the night. maybe i'll check out the library of scifi/fantasy & mythology books around here and just read for a few hours. haven't really done that in a while. perhaps it's time to begin again.
