Abilities and Weaknesses:Wash is still human, but he's essentially a supersoldier. While possessing no supernatural abilities of any kind, he does however have that bitchin' armor, which amplifies his already significant aptitude as a soldier to a ridiculous degree. It makes him stronger, faster, a lot harder to kill, and basically, it'd be a really bad idea to piss him off. He's regarded as average, among Freelancer operatives, not the greatest but not terrible either, but he still managed to take out a missile-launching helicopter on his own, from the ground, armed with nothing but a battle rifle.
In combat he's proficient with pretty much every type of firearm known to man and trained for both individual infiltration missions and squad-level warfare. He's ruthless, efficient, and able to quickly analyze a situation for the best possible strategy, though nowadays he's signed onto the philosophy that straight-on violence seems to solve most problems. He's smart enough not to pick fights with people that obviously outclass him, however -- he's perfectly aware that there are alternative methods to getting rid of people in his way.
To put it simply, he's a soldier, turned up to eleven, and intelligent to boot. Good luck.
In terms of weaknesses, however, Wash has no terribly glaring weaknesses in terms of things that trip him up. He's highly adaptable and able to switch tactics to whatever he's faced with, and he's difficult to catch off guard -- but the one undeniable failure in him is, of course, his sanity. He's not exactly insane, but he's unstable as fuck, and while that may even be an advantage in the right circumstances his judgment tends to be severely impaired when it has anything to do with Epsilon, his memories, Freelancer, anything that he's particularly touchy about, including implying that he's insane. He doesn't lose control over such things, but if you push it hard enough -- it's difficult for him to not rise to the bait.
Inventory: His armor, M6G Magnum Sidearm and BR55HB SR Battle Rifle, with a small amount of extra clips for both and a number of frag grenades.
Appearance: Wash uses standard Mark VI powered assault armor, plain steel-gray with yellow trim, and with the armor probably stands to around 6'2" to 6'3", this being knocked down an inch or two without it. There isn't really much remarkable about his appearance otherwise -- without his armor, I'll be using CARMINE GIOVINAZZO as a PB, because I am too used to him to ever change him ever, and no one really cares about CSI: NY anyway.
Age: THIS IS A VERY GOOD QUESTION. I'm assuming he's somewhere in his late twenties to very early thirties, at most.
OC/AU Justification ; If AU, How is Your Version Different From Canon, and How Will That Come Across?Minor AU is pretty minor, but! It mostly concerns Wash and Maine, and filling in some gaps in their history that canon leaves behind.
Specifically, Maine was a Recovery Agent, and that's where most of their familiarity comes from, Freelancer itself aside. They were never particularly close, not as much for lack of interaction as lack of social skills, but were comfortable and familiar with working with each other -- probably why the Meta spared Wash's life those couple of times, otherwise Wash would be several times dead. Not only that, Maine had at some point been recruited by the Chairman of the Oversight Sub-Committee. The Chairman, apparently having caught wind of the ridiculous pile of fucked up that was hidden behind the project, enlisted Maine's help in collecting evidence to build a case against the project Director -- the Freelancer AI units.
