The desert is always a welcoming difference to the rest of the station; Sacrosanct is mostly composed of civilized areas, or gardens of beauty. Beaches, or tundra.
But his body prefers the dry air and piles of sand. Although he is no longer weakened by humid air, it's still something that almost connects to him.
Good. Thane needs connection. Perpetually in a place of Disconnect, he isn't always so sure what else to do. His mind needs rest, and perhaps parting himself from steel walls would assist from his mental decay. Although he does almost wish he could stick around to see Zaeed's reaction, but there's no telling when the mercenary will even return.

For now, there is this. Slowly, he sits, crossing his legs and listening. Not for anything particular, but. Something to guide him away from his own thoughts.
