A strange human is hanging around the central living area, mostly working on a sniper rifle that's a bit too big for him and muttering to himself. Every so often, he lifts his hand, wiggles his fingers, and then scowls before he goes back to work.

The soft click of claws against the floor marks a very large, white dog wandering in. A small satchel grasped gently in his maw.

He makes a bee-line for the human, walking right up to him, setting down the satchel and sniffing at him for a moment before whining.

His translator does well by him, though.

"Garrus?"

Well, this is just weird. A talking dog? He stares at it for a moment before something clicks.

"...Charlie? Is that you?"

"Yes it is. Mister Vakarian, I apologize if this is a surprise, but I suppose it is to be expected of this sort of situation I am not entirely surprise but I am very very very happy to see you the human look suits you very much-"

He pauses, head snapping to stare off, wide-eyed in another direction, accompanied by the exclamation of "SQUIRREL!" before immediately calming down and looking up at Garrus again.

"I love you a lot more for some reason right now."

"...Yeah. Thanks. Although I hope it won't be suiting me for much longer."

He wants to be a turian again. So badly. The exclamation earns a long stare of surprise and appraisal.

"I don't think being a dog is doing anything positive for your brain."

"I know it must be very hard for you but take it from me I like being human human is a very nice time and changing bodies can be tough but you learn a lot from it so try to learn a lot yes."

He whines, placing his head on Garrus leg.

"I don't think so no but interesting really I feel a lot more like this and it is easy to be very very happy or very sad and do you not love me because I love everyone a lot except some people who I don't."

He's seen pictures and videos of human dogs before. They always reminded him of varren more than anything else. He slowly shrugs and after a sigh, he gives Charlie a scratch behind the ears. That seems appropriate somehow.

"...just try and get through it. I'm sure we'll be back to normal."

He pauses.

"Hopefully."

Oh man his tail wags he gets scratches. Somehow this doesn't seem degrading in the least.

"Yes I will do my best to study the effects of the genetic makeup that I have gathered but it will not be easy when my mind is not together it is very very very hard keep scratching me please that is good and it makes me love you more."

He licks Garrus' hand.

"...what?"

That didn't sound like Sagan at all. Not even remotely. Well, maybe a little, but certainly not the same analytical and intelligent man he knew. He pauses and then slowly resumes scratching.

"Are you OK, Sagan?"

Another whine and he lowers his head.

"No I guess not really it is very very very hard to think like this and everything is so distracting. I do not think that a dog is a very suitable animal at all no..."

"...apparently not. You're babbling a bit."

At least Garrus isn't dealing with constant attention-grabbing squirrels.

"Anything I can do...?"

"Yes I know it is like everything that is in my head comes out and I cannot stop it I say things that I would not usually and I really like everyone a lot it is kind of disturbing but I can't really find it in me to care right now."

His head tips, and he tries to think hard.

"A genetic sample would be really really really helpful so I can start to compare things and maybe fix this also rub my tummy that is not as important but it is still pretty important."
