[ Angela has a mirror and is staring into it.

IN.
COMPLETE.
HORROR.

She's gray. Her beautiful skin is gray. Her eyes are orangy-yellow. Her gorgeous purple hair is black. She has horns.

This is not happening. Not not not not happening.

She looks torn between shrieking and crying and she might just do both. ]

[ponynova]

A bright orange pony trots up to her, looking a little red-eyed and weepy himself. He sniffs and looks over at her, frowning a bit as he recognizes her sort of.

"A-Angela?"

[witchmaker]

Angela's so transfixed on the horrible thing in her mirror that she almost doesn't reply.

She looks up finally with a "who what" and then... stares.

"... What in the world?"

[ponynova]

"Uh...yeah, hi. It's. It's me. Jin." He makes a rather tragic face. "Um. I'm a pony."

He can't keep the wibble out of his voice.

[witchmaker]

"A pony." Suddenly, being a troll isn't that horrible. There are worse things, right? Like being a... pony. Whatever that is. But still. She's gray. She has horns. She looks like some kind of monster.

"I'm-- I'm a troll." She's starting to get all teary-eyed again. "What in the world is going on?"

[ponynova]

"Y-Yeah. It's kind of awful." It could probably be worse, but he's not exactly sure how right now.

"I don't know. It's so weird...I think it's happening to a lot of people."

[witchmaker]

"I don't know what to do. What do trolls eat? I can't use magic, so how am I going to be able to defend myself?"

She sighs and takes out her artifact bag, and looks through it. "I have these things, but they don't do much."

[ponynova]

"I don't know. I guess we're all in a similar predicament now, though..." Jin still has his bag with his cats, but he's not about to start kidding himself that he'll be able to use the scythe. He hasn't had to use it since coming here, but with his luck now will end up being the perfect time to start. He tries not to be a pessimist, but suddenly he's imagining star-eaters and their machines just outright pouring through the rift.

"Maybe there are some trolls around who you can ask? In a situation like this we all kind of have to help each other out." Something terrible occurs to him. "Oh jeez I hope no one became a star dragon..."

[witchmaker]

That's called being a pessimist, Jin. Sorry. "Hopefully. If anyone turned into something aggressive and dangerous, I think we're in trouble-- odds are we're all a little more defenseless thanks to all this."

She's about to reply that she can talk to Gamzee about it, when what he says gives her pause. "Wait. Star dragon? You mean a flammie."

[ponynova]

He tries.

"Man...maybe I should try hoping transporters until I'm something more...sturdy. I dunno, I don't think it'd be exactly healthy though."

He blinks at her with his enormous pony eyes. "A what?"

[witchmaker]

"Probably not. You could wind up something even worse. At least you have legs at the moment."

She blinks right back. "You know. The Goddess's dragons, helped defend Fa'Diel from the wyrms, now their hearts are stars in the sky. I think I told you this story before, right?"

[ponynova]

He looks down at his legs and sort of whistles a little. "Yeeeaah, good point."

He tilts his head, thoroughly confused. "I. Don't. Think so? I...I think I'd remember a story like that. Their hearts are stars?
