Trolls do nothing but combobreakmcfussyfangsMay 6 2011, 07:39:50 UTC
[She is tired, which she finds to be really bizarre given the time of day, but it might just be a blood thing. Which is... something Kanaya is simply avoiding for now. So she wanders aimlessly (except not so much because she mostly knows where she is) and then stops dead in her tracks when she sees the...
Actually she's not sure what she's seeing. A massive hulking figure in armor and chains and a mask. It almost reminds her of Cindy. Kanaya squints and moves little closer, glowing softly with mild apprehension. She looks up at him and tilts her head just slightly to the side, hand covering her mouth in thought.]
Excuse me, but may I inquire as to what your designation is?
[ Most of the creatures Ketojan has been encountering have been made of metal, and often they glow in some way, so when he finds himself approached by something--someone?--small and softly glowing he nearly slips into a defensive stance.
It's only what he can glimpse through the mask that prevents him from calling forth flames. Small, female, pale and horned. She could almost be kossith.
Slowly he relaxes, dipping down into the proper position for a saarebas--head down, shoulders hunched, gaze carefully averted--and growls softly. The subservient posture is as close as he will come to speaking his title for the moment. ]
[To say that Kanaya was bad at reading postures wouldn't be totally inaccurate, but this isn't one she's seen before and she's not experienced in what she deems slightly animalistic behavior, but he isn't really looking at her ad seems to be making himself... smaller? Maybe?
She ducks a little, bends down slightly to get a better look at his his and, finding it to be a useless endeavor but to the mask, straightens up again. Kanaya frowns just barely, expression a muted version of confusion.]
Are you lost in this current frame of time? Have you been lead astray of something?
[ He holds the position, submitting to the brief inspection without complaint. Her questions, however, make him growl again. This time the noise is a vague acknowledge, a confirmation that yes, he is lost, and yes, he has been lead astray.
From what, and by what, he has no idea, but there is little point in vocalizing such frivolous information. ]
[She can somewhat understand the tone of the growls this time, affirmations to both of her questions. She takes a better look at him and he almost looks like a troll. Grey skin, shorn down horns, sewn shut mouth...
Wait...
What?]
Oh my Mother Grub. What on Alternia happened to you?
[She immediately throws up her hands, fingers splayed as she carefully moves them up and down slightly in a halting gesture.]
Please do not make any attempts at spoken word conversation in response to that question.
[ Mother Grub? Alternia? Strange words with no meaning--he doesn't even try to wonder what they mean.
Her request comes through loud and clear, however. He eagerly accepts it as a command, allowing his silence to convey his acknowledgment. He will not speak, nor make any noise, unless she bids him to. ]
[Part of her is wondering what he did to deserve such treatment, because Eridan definitely deserved losing the use of his gills and his facial fins, but there's nothing in his posture that would suggest someone who deserves punishment. He's been nothing but compliant with her and she actually has to step back and think for a moment.
Looking at him, focusing on his sewn shut mouth in particular as there is nothing that can be done for the horns as far as she knows, she nods in determination.]
We are going to make haste to a hospital.
[Because she has no seam ripper and it doesn't seem like that would be the proper protocol for removing stitches anyway.]
[ Ah... an instruction? He looks at her closely from under the mask, weighing it over before he decides that yes, she is instructing him. He is clearly to follow her to her chosen destination. Why she would want to go there is beyond him, but it is hardly his place to reflect on her motivations.
Slowly he straightens back up, looking down at her while he waits for further guidance. ]
3/3 This was a pointless seperation.mcfussyfangsMay 15 2011, 09:04:25 UTC
[OH WAIT.
There's an extremely convincing holographic sign around their area. Hurray. So she is just going to walk that way now, looking back to make sure he is following. No weird brain-dead adult sort-of-troll is going to keep his mouth stitched shut on her watch!]
pointless like your existence :|!!magebindMay 20 2011, 08:20:40 UTC
[ Of course he's following. She commanded him to, didn't she? He's so desperate for some sort of leadership at the moment he would have punched himself in the face had she asked. ]
[And then they're at the hospital and there are small robotic drones at the ready. At the least, it doesn't seem like a barbaric sort of clinic, and Kanaya talks to the robot at the front desk easily enough. Except she can't really fill out the form since she knows nothing about this stranger. It's easy enough just to enter him as Jahawn Antlerbeast and hope for the best. She turns back to him after she's done, motioning for him to follow her while she follows the guarding droid.]
We need to get your mouth healed up. Follow me.
And please don't destroy anything because I believe that will cause us to be ejected from the facility.
[ Ketojan is noticeably upset by the drones, although the extent of this is added tension in his shoulders and his sudden, stern focus on the strange creatures. The females lack of upset keeps him calm, though, and there is only a slight flicker of light at his fingertips to indicate his reflex to destroy the metal abominations. ]
And then I bullshitted like an ace about Sacrosanct's hospitals.mcfussyfangsMay 30 2011, 07:11:51 UTC
[Kanaya, to her credit, doesn't even startle at the sparking at his fingertips, though she does give him a look of mild disapproval before moving closer to pat the back of one of his hands.]
It will be fine. You have my word that you will walk out of this facility unharmed.
[And eventually they arrive in a smallish room, lined with sterile white cots that are unusually high off the ground. The doing whirls and clicks, motioning for them to take a seat on a cot before puttering away. A orb drops down from the ceiling, still attached by a series of wire, cables and thin fold-able rods. It's silvery shell cracks and moves and it unrolls like a pill bug stuffed with small delicate metal tools.]
