"I didn't know they offered wine at Cafes here. Which do you recommend then? No audio outputs? Fine, just nod. Red or white? Both? Really?" There was a pause. She was obviously speaking to someone, and therefore not alone.
"I think I'll just have a tea then. Any one, I don't care."
She'd come early of course; it would have been rude to make Convoy wait.

Without further ado, Nemesis came to a stop on the street before the table, flicking his outside speakers on.
"Grand Councilwoman?"
He could have simply transformed before her to introduce himself, but...this served as both seeking confirmation, and a way of altering her to her presence. Transforming first could be a bit surprising until she recognized it was him.

Was Convoy inside the thing?
"Yes. Convoy I presume?"

There, that should be enough. He rolled back a few inches, and then transformed.
Metal shifted and split away from itself, pivoting on hidden joints and servos and locking in to new positions. From this mass, a bipedal shape formed, stepping first on one foot and then the other as rear wheels locked in to place behind them. Seats formed in to arm-cannons that stayed visibly sheathed as he flexed his arms, his doors moving slightly on his shoulders almost like wings. His now-visible head turned to lock its red optics on the Grand Councilwoman, brightening slightly as they focused and performed a few quick scans upon her.
"Convoy Super Black, of the Alternity's Convoy Corps."
There was nothing to gain from hiding that from her, and it could double as a more formal introduction. And if anyone saw him transform, well...
...let them.

"Very impressive."
She looked down for a second, at the chair on the other side of her table.
"I would offer you a seat but..."

Let her take that as an accommodation from him, if she wished. If not, well, no matter. He was growing used to being the odd one out, for more than one reason.
"I am comfortable standing," he continued. "Do not be concerned in that vein."
Reply
"I am likewise comfortable standing," she said, folding her hands in front of herself.
"Is this your preferred form?"

"Either suits," he answered, "But this one is better for discussion. The other...is more for disguise."
For all the good that had done. He shrugged it off, waiting to hear what she would say.

She looked Convoy over without moving her head, just flicking her eyes up and down his body.
"Tell me about yourself. That was the goal of this meeting." She'd see what he'd open with.

He was not exagerrating, and it was as good a way as any to answer multiple questions at once.

She doesn't mention how close she'd come to gassing the planet, nor how close she was to blowing up a few islands, not a month ago.
"I am curious as to what exactly you are protecting against though."

Here Nemesis paused, considering how much to tell her...there were few ways to do so without inviting further questions. But thankfully, it was not sensitive information.
Well, unless she became afraid easily. So far, she had shown composure.
"Hytherion," he answered finally, "the Beast of Time. It travels from dimension to dimension, consuming time itself as sustenance. The Alternity is one of the few species capable of combating its power, and so we do so using every method available to us."
Fight fire with fire...

Still, she'd never heard of it... but then this was a large universe, and she hadn't seen everything. Plus the robot seemed pretty serious... though it was entirely possible his face was stuck that way.
"Does it only consume time?" Because let's face it, that's a pretty relevant question.

Unconsciously, his tone began to change; from matter-of-fact to thoughtful, a quiet flair for the dramatic revealing itself.
"It would desire the formation stage of the stars which gave your planet life. I've seen it before, in the memory banks of the Corps; billions of worlds dying at once, having never truly existed in the first place as the lights around them vanished. The power stored within them, the time all those life forms possessed - devoured by the Origin Eater. I have rarely seen anything capable of such destruction, especially one that acts in the higher dimensions rather than focusing their efforts to three or four ( ... )
