That wasn't important.
What was important was finding people, or finding who did this, or something. Anything. She had spent days being useless while Dave and Sollux were getting hurt, there was no way that was going to continue, as much as those things got in the way.
She heads through the area, pausing at some of the colors as she passes the rooms. Yellow- that wasn't paint, that was Sollux's blood. But another color caught her eye, one that made the pit of her stomach sink. "... Eridan?"
She enters one of the rooms, that feeling in her stomach freezing to dread. "Eridan-"

She freezes when she finally gets a good look at him, eyes widening in horror. His... fins. They were- they were completely gone, and his neck was... It takes her a moment to regain herself, rushing forward again and dismissing her weapon to kneel next to him. All the conflict in her thoughts about Eridan were forgotten for the moment, she didn't even spare a thought to how he had cut her down, how he was supposed to be an enemy. Her moirail was hurt. Her- her ex-moirail.
"Eridan. Eridan, oh my god-" She starts, reaching out to touch where his fins should have been, not thinking.

He tried to turn away from her, though, he didn't want this to be happening, not now. Not until he could have actually tried getting himself fixed. No, no... Eridan couldn't bring himself to do it, though. His body just froze and locked up when she moved herself right beside him. Seeing her looking at him so horrified... It hurt him so much. Oh, so much.
Then, Feferi started reaching for the places where his fins used to be. His bottom lip was quivering and his eyes were wide. Eridan couldn't stop himself from getting all emotional, especially since it was a perfect time to be it. He quietly sighed and looked down at his shoes, a line of light purple falling from both of his eyes. The troll just couldn't bring himself to speak again, not at this moment at all. He was just too ashamed and disgusted of himself.

She takes a deep breath, wrapping her arms around him as best she can manage. "Come on." She murmurs. "We're going to get out of here, ok? I'm getting you out of here, I promise." It was hard enough getting this far, getting him out- well, she didn't have time to think about it. It was happening, that was that, she was getting him out of this hell hole and... and somewhere. Where could she even take him? He wasn't supposed to know about either of the safe places she knew, and- ugh. It didn't matter. She pulls back to offer him a shaky smile, brushing at one of those purple tears.
"Up! C-come on mister!"

Why was he saying this? Inside he wanted her to just take him away, but... his pride was still the only thing that made him move or do anything. He was worthless, he didn't mean anything to them anymore. He was scum... nothing but trouble.
"I-I deserv..."
He tries to fight it. He can't say that. He won't. He was hiccuping through his sobs. How the heck could she even look at him like that?
"I d-deserve this. I-I'm a tr-traitor. I-I'm not a sea dweller. I'll n-n-never be able to return t-to our h-home. I k-k-killed you. I deserve to die!"
His mood changes slightly, and he turns his head away, growing serious. "H-He told me that I don't deserve to b-b-be on the same level as you. A-and it's true. I-I don't..."

"Shut up." She mutters. "Just- just shut your glubhole Eridan. You're dumb. You're a dumb, stupid jerk, an asshole, a- everything bad any of us have ever called you but. You don't- you never deserved this..." She says, voice rising. "I don't care what 'he' said, whoever did this- ugh."
She tugs his arm urgently. "Come on, we have to go. I have to get you out of here, there are... there are things everywhere." Monsters. Creatures. She didn't know. "Please, just trust me."

"Don't s-st-leave me, you go on your o-get out of h-here."
He spoke quietly, looking down, then looking her straight in the eyes. "I-If one of u-us d-deserves to g-g-go it's you."
But then... his expression changed again, the grip loosening from his legs. Reaching forward, as quickly as he could, he embraced her. "I'd n-never let this slide. Please j-just... Leave. G-get out of here Fef. You d-don't need to be here..."
He took a short breath and whispered, "I don't w-want you to g-get hurt or end up like me..."

Damn it, damn it, this wasn't fair, he wasn't allowed to say things like that. He had killed her without batting an eye, he had thrown away all their history together and all their friends and... and he was terrible. He was supposed to be terrible. He was a stupid kid who didn't deserve this.
"I said shut up." She says quietly, tears welling in her eyes, caught in her goggles as she pulls back to stare stubbornly at him. "I'm not- I won't leave you behind. Not... not like this. You're coming with me, even if I have to drag you the whole way."
She grasps his arm, trying to blink away the purple in her eyes. "Can you walk?"

Standing up slowly, he took a step back to try to keep himself up. Looking around a bit. He hadn't really moved from that spot that much. Where the hell were his Crosshairs...
He looked back to Feferi and then away, um... attempting to try to keep the conversation on the same path. "W-why are you w-wastin' your d-d-da-time on m-m-me? I th-thought that you w-wouldn't w-w-w-waste your t-time on m-me and that I w-was gonna bet-tray you for Jack."
He snorted and tried to get her mad. He wanted her to leave and get out of there before things did get crazy. He cared too much of her, even now. She'd always been the first one of them all ( ... )

"I- it's not- you were the first friend I ever had, and you... all that stuff doesn't matter right now. It's a stupid jerk who never listens and is just... just the worst sometimes but I still care you idiot! Why do you think I tried to talk to you when we came back? Why do you think I glubbing told you not to follow Jack in the first place?"
"Ugh, that was always the problem! You never listened, that's why I broke up with you! Do you know how hard it is being a moirail to someone who refuses to learn anything? All you care about is your stupid drama and your stupid self and-" Damn it, what was she doing?? She lets out a frustrated, shaky huff. "I know a place to take you, he- Joe- he won't think you're a big traitor and the trolls don't know where it is so you'll be ok. So just-"
"Just listen to me." She pulls at ( ... )

When she grabs his arm this time it's a bit less gentle and much more resolute as she tries to lift him to his feet. She could drag around dead whales and Eridan was significantly smaller than a whale. It was pretty obvious she was seconds away from throwing him over her shoulder and just making a run for the exit.
"I am getting out of here." She answers, pulling him towards the exit as she glanced quickly around the room. "And you're coming with me whether you glubbing like it or not. We can- we'll carp about all this later you giant jerk."

He couldn't argue anymore at the moment, she pretty much outmatched him strength wise. Eridan was still damn tired physically and mentally, and he didn't argue with her. Except... He had to say something. Holding onto the arm that gripped onto his, he held it for support. He hadn't been trying to walk or anything, and his legs were sort of hard to control at the moment. He hoped she didn't mind.
"A-alright..." he began, looking... just tired as hell right now, dropping the tough-guy act that he had been stabilized with, "I... I just h-have somethin' I ne-need before w-we can go..." he muttered, still looking around uneasily. He forgot exactly where his big damn gun was, but... He needed it. It was the only thing he had left to protect himself, and he wasn't going to leave without it.

Feferi pauses, almost immediately jumping to another short response but catching herself- the fact he had even caved meant he was worse off than she thought. "What?" She asks, glancing around as he did. "Eridan we really need to go! There are... things around, and-" And she didn't want either of them caught and played with like some of what she had seen.
