[Kaylee had no idea what was going on, truly. For a moment, she'd even wondered if she'd been dropped into another crazy space-station entirely. They'd mussed up her good coveralls, put her in this really...strange outfit, and then set her down in a cubicle.

Except the problem is that programs are even faster than dudes-who-are-actually-stable-timeloops, and so all he gets for his trouble is a nasty zap as he runs smack into the force field around the door. Which in turn knocks him on his ass.]

[He doesn't bother talking - mouthing off is for Dave and also people who aren't him. Instead he tries to jump - in one leap - through the roof, only to get slapped against the force field up THERE, too, and again, fall to the floor]

[Kaylee smiles at him and then reaches out, very tentatively, to prod the force-field. Unsurprisingly, the field goes off and she gives a startled yelp as she pulls her finger back. The reaction time was too good for one large array, and it didn't trigger any of the other fields...so each different opening had a separate field generator?

[Kaylee hasn't had the heart or the nerve to speak up to the livid fellow down a couple cells from her. He was pacing like a caged critter and looked ready to stamp on some folks if they gave him half a chance. Not that she blamed him or nothin'.
