Who: Rinzler, OPEN
What: Checking out the virus infection in zone R04 where Abraxas has taken root. (This was inevitable and you know it.)
Where: Zone R04.
When: Today.
Warnings: Keep it PG-13, please.
Simply because Abraxas was CLU's creation did not mean that the security program could just completely ignore the virus forever. He was a threat to any System he was placed within and that, unfortunately, included this station. If Rinzler had been capable of the process he would have at least been thankful for one fact: in the User world at least his area of influence and infection was limited. However, it was still enough to be a problem in the long run.
Rinzler, therefore, saw it as his duty to keep the virus on a short leash if not entirely wipe him off the station. The fact that there was a rerezz factor on the station only compounded things if the virus got out of hand; until then Rinzler wouldn't worry about actually trying to formulate a way to permanently delete the glitched code. Still, the calculation stayed on the peripheral of his processor if simply because he was a good (see: the best) security program.
Warily, Rinzler approached the infected sector. He was well aware of what the virus had been up to lately. So far he'd just deigned to ignore it. But now it was a possible concern as the infection began to spread over an entire sub-zone of the station. Even if he left this one small area unclean for the moment, Rinzler wanted to make sure he knew exactly what he was dealing with when the time came. So he began to explore.
The surroundings were strange even by User standards. The security program had no clue what any of the unusual structures were meant for. Their design was pointless and their function even more so as far as he could tell. He traveled across the infected land carefully, continuing to monitor and catalog both the infected points and the various User creations as he went along.
