That entrance was loud enough to wake the dead, or in this case, attract Tony's attention. He spends quite a bit of time in the junkyard nowadays, hoping for something useful to fall out of the sky. A suit would be nice, although really by now? He'd have settled for any chunk of metal.

Tony peeks over from a junk pile after hearing the commotion, wondering if there's any way to troll the new arrival. It only takes a bit of work, a little backwards compatibility, and bingo. Future technology, seamlessly patched to work on an old radio.

"Scott? Come in, Scott."

To his surprise, he heard a voice in the radio. Although he took a slight moment to wonder why that should have surprised him. While he didn't see any of his comrades, that didn't mean they didn't come through with him. There certainly wasn't a Stargate in that hideous void, which meant they could have appeared anywhere.

"Colonel? Brody? Respond; I think we took a wrong turn at that last solar flare, if you know what I mean."

He began to fully explain the situation and his surroundings, not even guessing that the person on the other line might not be whom he was expecting. He looked around at the place, hoping to find a flicker of movement, a head pop up, someone walking by, but all he could see was junk, tumbling here and there from his fall.

"You guys all right? What's your position?"

"Sorry soldier, The Colonel's not available right now."

Tony paused, realizing with an unexpected twinge of guilt that he was seriously fucking with a guy by giving him false hope. It was a bit cruel, even for him.

"Tony, actually. But wherever your team is, they're fine. Long story short, you're in an alternate dimension and your team's stuck back at home."

If Scott thought this stranger telling him he wasn't actually Colonel Young was a ton of bricks, then the bit about the alternate dimension should have been a shitton of bricks. Well, it kind of was. This Tony guy...how did he know? Was it another ruse? I mean, he obviously had a radio, right? ...No way, this guy was right. This was just another place he haphazardly stepped into, unawares, like a baby getting born again with no damn idea what was going on. Another ship? World? Who knew. He hasn't been aboard Destiny long enough to have gotten used to it.

[Don't know if this counts as god-moding, but I was wondering if the three tones are supposed to go off now. AS IF TOO SAY TONY'S RIGHT SUCKA.]

Suddenly, three low tones rang out around him with a soft, yet serious voice following like death knells. "Welcome to Sacrosanct, watch you..."

Scott stopped listening and aimed his gun warily.

Click - "Come out where I can see you...Tony."

Most people return to the junkyard to scavenge for scrap. Olivia came just to look at the rift. The images inside it change almost too quickly for her to follow, but every now and then she sees something she can pin down. A few faces, a building, a landscape - there's nothing familiar, not so far, but maybe if she watches long enough, she'll see something she recognizes, spot some pattern ( ... )

Late is A-okay! :D cloverdaleboy December 12 2011, 23:01:05 UTC
The feeling he felt was pretty similar to the first time he popped onto Destiny -- not expecting this, devoid of life, hectic circumstances (although this time it wasn't a planet blowing up, it was a big pile of trash he crash-landed onto)...All seemed unsettlingly familiar. But even though his first instinct was to defend himself, putting a gun at the ready, he realised there wasn't really anything to shoot at.

Until he heard some running, of course.

Naturally, he wants to aim at whatever's coming, so he's a little surprised to see a woman running at him quickly. When she stops and shows him she has good intentions, he takes a small sigh and puts his gun down. She could almost be called a "sight for sore eyes"; the last thing he needed was to end up on yet another derelict ship. But what she says doesn't help much.

"Where are we? What is this?"

Not even a Hello, nice to meet you, I'm Lt. Scott, and you are? Nah, he's still a little wigged out.

As if on cue, the three-tone chime rings overhead, along with the automated welcome. Olivia glances upward briefly, sighs, and allows herself to relax a little - or at least give the outward appearance of having relaxed, in the hope it might make him a little less tense. As if anything makes arriving here easier...

"We're on a space station called Sacrosanct, in another universe." It's hard to make that sound like a completely normal thing to say, but Olivia manages pretty well. Long experience with things almost this strange probably helps. "There's a rift here in the junkyard that pulls people in from different times and places and universes..."

She briefly glances up at the rift, at the flickering pictures only she can see. Right now it's showing a battle on horseback, men with swords and armor - the rift's already moved on from wherever this man came from. She sighs and looks back to him.

"And I'm afraid at the moment, there's no way back."

Scott was shocked at this woman's statement. The three chimes might have told where, but not the way that he should have known. He felt like he did when he had to tell everyone on Destiny that ship was moving and they didn't know where.

Again? he thought. Of course, his first thoughts were of his family and friends. Chloe, Matthew, Colonel Young, Eli...but he couldn't lose himself now. He forced himself back and to swallow this bitter pill.

"No way back? I take it you've tried."

Okay, that was a little snappy. This woman didn't seem to be like she meant to harm him. She just seemed, well...helpful. So he relaxed a little more, brought himself back to who he really was: a nice guy. An accepting guy.

"I'm Lt. Scott. What's your name?"

That's better.
