It had been too long since Kaidan had gotten a good biotic workout in. With all the extra bodies in the base it wasn't likely he was going to get anything done there, and he'd also been trying to avoid any kind of unnecessary conflicts, which had resulted in him not having much workout time and an abundance of passive babysitting time.
As nice as it was to not have as many headaches, biotics were still something that required a certain measure of honing, and he wasn't about to let himself get rusty. So, he assumed that no one would end up accidentally blowing the base to hell and headed to his favorite little park.
It wasn't exactly an alliance biotic training facility, but under the circumstances a bunch of trees and rocks made for good enough targets and projectiles. Kaidan is ever-vigilant to the approach of another person, but all the same if someone sneaks up on him, they may want to watch out for flying rocks.
