Knock Out usually wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth, to borrow a phrase from the humans, but the fact his superior officers were, for the most part, absent meant that the distinct lack of missions left him... well, bored. There was only so much fun to be had antagonizing organics over the network, and it wasn't like there was a lot of choice when it came to his own species. Besides, some of them were, ah, definitely not his type.
It was enough to drive a 'bot to desperation, really. Which is why Knock Out is parked in his vehicle mode near one of the transporters, just close enough to catch the eye of anyone who might happen to step out or heat into it. His paint job practically glows in the sunlight, finish buffed and waxed to a perfect shine. To the unwary he's just an unattended, very nice, sports car.
