who: theuserabides, powerofgod, open to others
what: Basically I am just getting Flynn out of the damn house. Also action 'cause I can't brain prose right now.
where: Anywhere hospitable (aka, not a glacier, a lava field, a festering swamp, the Junkyard...) within a few minutes stroll of a teleporter. Flynn set his wearable to choose at random from the teleporter network ( Read more... )

random quiet area in the residential zones hisoldgirl November 16 2011, 17:38:48 UTC
[the TARDIS is just chilling in a corner somewhere, her doors open as she analyses the atmospheric compound in this section of the station. there's a soft glow emanating from inside her console room, stretching along the station floor for a good five feet or so, the hum of her engines audible if subtle

anyone who happens by is welcome to come right on in]

[Well, that's kind of out of place. Wrong era entirely.

Naturally Flynn goes right up to the humming blue phone booth.]

Hello?

[He knocks on the doorframe and sticks his head in.]

[there's no real response. at least not initially. no one welcomes him or says hi, though the light dims a little, the hum of the engines going quieter, then kicking up as though it's suddenly expending a lot of energy. the air is considerably cooler than outside, as well, though it warms slightly near the door

a moment later, a voice filters through the sound system, metallic and quiet]

Hello, Kevin Flynn.

[That voice.

Thinkinnnnnnnnnnnnng...]

TARDIS?

Correct.

[the lights darken some more, the engine hum getting louder, before it quiets suddenly and the lights brighten, the familiar hologram appearing at the console]

Exploring, Kevin Flynn?

[He's taking that as an invitation, and steps all the way into the control room.]

Yep.

At the risk of stating the obvious, this room is too big.

[Flynn notices these things, you know.

Too polite to touch without permission (time works miracles), he leans over a console with his hands clasped behind his back.]

[she gives him an amused look at the comment, having heard it far too often, though never in quite such a matter-of-fact way]

Dimensionally transcendental. My interior and exterior exist on two separate planes. [notes the way he looks at the console and motions toward a blinking blue button that controls the exterior video feed] You are welcome to explore. I am simply running tests.

[He created a place where physics is optional. Bigger on the inside than the outside? Whatever.

Also he is totally pressing the hell out of that button.]

Tests on what?

[it's so refreshing that someone gets it]

Atmospheric density, at the moment, though composition is also important. I would rather a fungal infestation not cause mass hallucinations again.

Choreography isn't the worst it could get.

[Flynn had missed out on that one. Getting kidnapped by crazy AI seems to be more his thing.

...Don't kidnap him.]

No, but knowing such a thing is possible widely expands the limits of biochemical influences through airborne molecules.

[she won't! though if the Doctor were here, that might not be as avoidable]

[I doubt the Doctor would do well with a companion even more pacifist than he is.]

True. You find anything?

[Flynn leans back, bracing against the console with his arms.]

[it'd be good for Flynn. chance to stretch his legs]

Nothing out of sorts. The air appears to contain slightly more nutritional compounds, but most space stations do. I have yet to find any indication of contaminants.

[the TARDIS' hologram moves around the console, checking sensors and readouts, more for Flynn's sake than because she requires it. she all ready has the data, after all]

And you, Kevin Flynn? Do you seek anything in this place, or are you content?

Me? I'm okay wherever I am.

[He shrugs, watching the hologram put on its show.]

Survival skill.

What sort of life have you lived in which you require a skill such as that?
