Who: Maria McFlannery and Kimiko Ross
What: Random encounters in the junkyard.
When: Tuesday Morning?
Where: The Junkyard
Warnings: Probably none.
Maria stood in an outcropping of junk a hundred yards or so from the entrance to the junkyard, half-concealed beneath a chunk of a completely wrecked yacht that had gotten dumped into the junkyard sometime in the last week or so. She was using it for cover from the occasional bits of debris that appeared above her head while she directed her nano-machine colonies to work.
The two clouds were out in the air, one of them scooping up bits of metal and hauling them over to the other, which whirled about processing and reforging and reshaping until each bit had been turned into a small piece of railroad track, which was then dropped onto a waiting hover-gurney Maria was usually dragging around with her.
There were thirty or so bits of railroad track on the pile, and Maria was honestly starting to get a bit bored. She reached out a hand at the air and the swarms finished off their last two pieces of rail and then swirled back to her, buzzing around her almost like a pair of puppies before they shot into the piles of junk around her. They began emerging moments later, dragging various chunks of things into a pile in the center of the nearby clearing and combining them into what looked like it was going to be a very slapdash statue of an elephant.
