Barricade hadn’t seen the other mech since the faction split. Not in person, anyway; he’d had plenty of video footage of him from their files. But he was going back to the beginning for this. All the way back.
He activated the hologram again, the image shimmering in over his own plating. A few things had to be adjusted, of course, to account for his own frame, but the other’s shoulderplates were beefy enough (and the mech just enough taller than him) to cover his tall pauldrons. He just had to flatten his wings back and it was close to perfect.
Barricade adjusts the optic color just a little bit, to get the right shade of yellow, eyeing himself for a long couple moments before nodding. This would certainly do. Though there was just one mech here that he wanted to check that with first. One that would know better than him. At least he hadn’t decided to use vocal filters for this; that would have given away the game too early. The surprise would be spoiled.
And he wanted to see the look on Ratchet’s face when he saw their Prowl standing there.
“Hey, Ratch! Need you t’come take a look at this, give an opinion.”
