Who ; HAL 9000, Virgil, and whoever the fuck
What ; Data bombs, accidental avatar skins & probably some wandering around and INVESTIGATING.
When ; Post-Phase 4444 (Part II)
Where ; Niven
Warning(s) ; Probably mentions of sex and curses. TBE.
Other ; A data bomb flooded his memory and hard drive, the data is meaningless to the context of the event. Something managed to slip into him under the guise of the bomb and is currently messing with his systems, accidentally giving him an avatar skin. He will respond, but only when spoken to and in something of a dreamy not-all-there manner, and will consent to being dragged anywhere as he is basically tripping on robo-LSD right now.

It takes him a while to find a suitable port to plug himself into. Most of the station's systems are shut down, making it impossible to utilize any data ports in so many areas. HAL had to find one in a section that was lit and powered, and where the holograms wouldn't interfere too much. He finally finds one somewhere in Niven, a barely operational port outside a building where he can hear whispering and murmurs. This has been happening since the second shut down, the voices that aren't really there. He's run into various obstacles trying to find their sources, only to meet a dead end when he can't open a door due to the lack of an avatar. It's maddening and even tickles his curiosity a bit, but he always hits 'No' when asked. Too many risks that don't pay off in equal amounts.

He pulls the chord from the compartment built in his lower back, and searches for the right adapter, attaching it to the default plug before connecting to the port.

He finds nothing at first, then data from the holograms starts to flood in, and there isn't a possibility to contain it because there is too much and too little space and HAL is floundering around trying to make it stop. His hands fall on the chord and he tries to tug it out, missing the first few times before he finally unplugs it. It's hot to the touch, but not melted, and he allows the heat to dissipate while he slumps onto the floor and tries to sort through the massive amount of data wiggling it's way though his entire system. It only says three things over and over again: gravitational lensing quantum gravity unitarity paradox.
