[Finally, after a few teleporters, the echo of the monster's stomping is finally mostly out of his head, leaving him with just Delta's quiet hum that he's never sure if he imagines or is actually there. It's not something heard past the inside of his head, though he doesn't really think twice about it.
The mission, for lack of any better word, was a success, at least. Once they were out of immediate danger, and closer to York and Delta's apartment, he'd eased up a little bit, though he kept a close eye out for anything in particular that might be dangerous (namely, Wash or Maine or the alien.) Thankfully all of the above were blessedly absent, and he was left with a little girl that he was only half sure how to handle, and that was being generous.
Up into the apartment complex and taking the elevator instead of the stairs, York leaned faintly against the wall inside, a hand braced lightly on the metal bar in the inside of the elevator and looked down at the little girl]
