Too many questions. Where were the rest of the pilots? Where was Anko's aunt? Her cousin? What sort of horrific black spell had fallen over their planet? We weren't in the middle of a Game...
Emerging from a teleporter near a water fountain, Anko dizzily searched the wide expanse of the town before realizing she was lost.
"Oh, no," she whispered to herself, pulling up the vidscreen on her wearable. She quickly sent a message to Machi: "I forget where you are. Where are you?"

This place was confusing. It looked just like any normal city. But it was a spaceship, wasn't it?
Machi sighed. She was used to seeing stars from Zearth, not anything else.
She stared at the bracelet, the thing on her arm. It was like her cell phone, except more high tech. Whatever this world was, it was advanced. She wondered what year they were in. Maybe -- maybe if she ever talked to Mayako again she could ask her if this was what life was like in 2300.
There was a message. From Anko. She stared for a moment, that was the same person she remembered. So young. But not really, it was how she was the most familiar.
"Um..." She looked around. "I'm by a...park." She almost smiled. Just like back home.
Dung Beetle grabbed Waku by his collar and started dragging him through town.
"Don't you fucking listen to a word I say? It's not even possible for me to generate an escape velocity high enough to enter this universe's exosphere. Besides, why the fuck would I dump you pricks in the middle of a high tech space station? I'd sooner toss you out into a boiling ocean."
Scouring the space station to find a present for Sakura just wasn't working. It had to be something pretty, because Sakura herself was beautiful; of that, Shiina was convinced. But it should also be practical, because Sakura was not a girl who liked trinkets and teddy bears. And yet, it was allowed to be eccentric, too, because Sakura herself was quite eccentric, a practitioner of Kabbalah and a firm believer in EVP and past life regression and all sorts of new age practices...
By chance, she turned a certain empty street corner and then froze.
That young man standing there--peraps it was simply coincidence, but he looked just like...

"So you're absolutely positive you have nothing to do with our being here?"

"...Komori?"

Snapped out of his reverie, Shirou turned in time to catch a glimpse of Shiina.
"Hm?" The girl looked vaguely familiar. Vaguely.

This boy I killed. She tried to put Komori out of her mind.
