Because you tend to only bet on that which has a high probability, York.
[He's perched on a table nearby, as usual. While he would certainly appreciate an ally against the Meta, Agent Washington had always been a bit of a wild card. While Delta was far from certain that he could be trusted, he was also fairly sure he at least deserved a chance.]
[ He drags his hand over his helmet, just to push it against the slot where Delta rests, exhaling harshly.
The HUD shows when Wash starts to come closer, and York leans against the wall, grabbing his gun, leveling it at the door when Wash comes in, finger hovering over the trigger. He doesn't trust Wash, not that much. ]
Weirdly enough, so do you.
[ Considering last he saw Wash, it was the other one with Epsilon. ]
[Delta observes silently, feeding a steady stream of data to York's HUD. Wash's vital signs are elevated, which means he may be unpredictable.
He does speak, though, and his voice is a little on the chilly side. Delta doesn't take kindly to threatening Epsilon.]
Good afternoon, Agent Washington. I trust you are in good health.
[Well, good health except for the obvious recent wounds, and the not-so-obvious ones, but Hypatia is typically good at fixing up anything immediately threatening.]
[ That and the fact that it's Wash. They might not have seen him while the two of them were off on their own back before Sing, but that didn't mean that he had gotten too much better after the mess of Freelancer.
He was a wild card, and York would treat him like it, especially after events here. ]
Yeah, well, you're here now, not him, so we'll deal with one thing at a time. Let's talk guns, first. You put yours down, and I'll do the same.
[Ah, so Washington's first words were regarding York's death and the inevitability of Epsilon's collapse. An interesting juxtaposition - as one had clearly not happened, surely there was a possibility the other might not.]
Indeed. There is no reason this cannot all be resolved peacefully.
[Delta relaxes his warning tone a little, though he continues to keep a close eye on the situation.]
I will warn you it is likely to be extremely unlike old times, Agent Washington. The situation here is little like it ever was in any training exercise, especially considering the presence of duplicates.
[ But Delta's right. They won't give up their location, not like this-- not to a Wash they barely know. That's asking for trouble, no matter how much York agrees they should be separated. ]
Easier said than done, Wash. I-- would if I could, but it really isn't that easy.
We will hear your arguments in favor of separation, Agent Washington, but forcing their separation when he is uncompliant will only further damage Epsilon.
[...Sure, he's concerned about the other Wash, but if he has to make a choice, he will choose Epsilon.]

Dunno how like old times it's gonna be.
[ He shrugs, tone wry. ]
You wanted to talk though, not over these things. Let's talk.
[ And he'll even lower his gun, sliding to sit down instead, but the helmet stays on for the moment ]

[ he didn't stick around to find out, and doesn't regret that for a goddamn moment.
York keeps a careful eye on him, not wanting to let his guard down-- this Wash was more dangerous than the other one, without a doubt. ]
Epsilon and the other you?

They are recovering from their injuries. I would prefer not revealing their location while the Meta is free.
