Hiccup was a little anxious.
The message he got from Sokka seemed innocent enough. Even a little amusing.
"...can you tell me how to meet you somewhere?"
Almost disarming in its innocence. And maybe that's why he was anxious. Out of the two boys from the good ship Elegante, he was hitting it off best with Sokka.
And the more he thought about it, the more he was waiting for it to explode in his face.
This was, of course, only when he was left to his own devices. When he was given time to over-analyze and worry.
Like now. Sitting on his bench, staring at the teleporter, swinging his legs back and forth and waiting for this to go terribly. He wasn't taking into account that, when he talked to the guy, they gelled really well and they conversation was often too fast-paced for him to start second guessing things. When he was talking to him, Hiccup took Sokka for granted. So far, at least.
He was juuust paranoid enough to wonder if it'd be the same in person.
