Jade had finally taken her through the teleporter and at last she was...
Well.
The human body was hardly preferable but at least she could think again. She actually hugged Jade when they came out of the teleporter, not because of any gratitude or feelings, but because she knew it was the appropriate human reaction and that it would get Jade to trust her more.
She still limped, thanks to Vriska breaking her ankle (she hadn't set the bone properly and had used a teleporter between then and when she got turned into a cube). She'd made up for it with a cane, though later she swore she'd simply replace the damn thing.
For the rest of the week, she'd sent Jade on little errands, telling her to gather materials, asking help with hacking robots, teaching her little things. At least, though, she was ready.
First, Jade. Then she'd have the girl call out to her companions. And soon...
Soon she could begin again. A different method, more subtle, but serviceable...
