It's been a long time since he's smelled fresh air, much less lay down on green grass and stare up at a nice blue sky. Everything around here seemed so... full of life. Sure, there aren't any chirping birds and whatnot, but not everything can be perfect.
A part of him is almost relieved to be here. It's entirely selfish, but it's a nice difference between being dead in a hellish town, or being mostly alive in a post-apocalyptic one. In turn, it does cause him to feel somewhat guilty for appreciating the place; there are people he left behind there.
He expects they'd probably understand, but that doesn't change anything.
Harry lays back, arms tucked behind his head as he peers up at the sky. The book he's borrowing from Charlie rests on top of his chest; he usually appreciates a good read, but right now, he just.
Wants to soak this in, without worry that some demonic canine was going to try to tear out his throat, or some variety of grosteque monsters trying to tear him apart.
