[Sounds of boots moving over metal, shifting and careful. After extricating himself and his sniper rifle from a small cage of whalebone (or, he guessed. Couldn't be entirely certain. It did stink, though), Jun made his way carefully through Junkyard]
[A soft male voice, accented, begins with some off-hand commentary, as if he's not entirely aware

[Somewhat fondly,] I'm sure they're really just as hardcore and badass as they sound; I've known a lot of them.
That must make you a civilian, then?

[ well that's cool. since everyone usually ticks him off by being all BLUH at it. ]
well iif you 2ay 2o. what2 a ciiviiliian?

Someone who's not a soldier. [Wistful, almost] Normal people living normal lives doing normal things. Civilian things. Like water-skiing.

Noble Three, this is Black Two. You're coming in loud and clear, and you're among friends.

Wonderful! [Oh hey, another Spartan! already this is looking up!] Mind giving me a run down on just what's going on? I'm having a hard time connecting where I am to where I was ...

As for what's going on and where "here" is, we've got a buggy AI that's not one of ours running a station that's...having some trouble, to say the least. You might notice things looking like a bad horror movie, I assure you, it's a station wide series of holograms. One of the "bugs" the AI's got a bad case of. You might also want to see if your night vision is working. Lights like to go out.
Your team's here, Noble Three. We're handling the situation as we speak and as best we can.

Nightvision is already engaged. I like being able to see. And a buggy AI, huh? That's different! Should be a nice change of scenery.
I'm glad to hear it, Black Two. [Well, kind of, he's still trying to figure out if he should be worrying about Halsey and how Carter will take that, but hey, team. Good to have in a situation like this.]

What the fuck are you doing here?
[YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD, BUDDY.]

That's a very good question. As soon as I find the answer, I'll let you know, Four.
[Good god he hopes he didn't fall out of the Pelican.]
It looks like I'm in some giant scrapyard, currently. Like, a really really weird scrapyard. [He'll switch to video momentarily to pan the surroundings.] I've never seen anything like it. What do you make of it?

Called the Junkyard. It's where we all showed up.
[But given that he, Carter, and Kat were all pretty badly injured--]
You okay?

Lonely can be fixed, mostly, once you get out of the starting junk heap. Not too many people around, but it beats none.

[He's used to working sort of one his own, but hey, people are fun] You got that right. It's just no fun without anyone to talk to. So what's your idea of 'not too many'? Are we talking a country or two worth or more like 'it could fill a movie theatre with seats left over'?

[Definitely the most friendly out of the bunch.]
Look for showers. Past that, it's all trees and empty plazas, you can't miss it.
Also: I were you, I'd keep a weapon handy. Most of the new arrivals seem docile, but there's still a few that'd probably rather decapitate you than chat.

[Hey, someone had to keep their spirits up!]
Thanks. I think I got it now!
Now that you won't have to worry about. [You might hear a gloved hand patting the metal grip of his sniper, lovingly] Sniper Rifle. Never leave home without it!

Carter just stares for the longest time, playing it over, a second time, pausing before a third. He finds Kat first, silently showing it to her to analyze it, until it's confirmed it's real.
Except it shouldn't be, because Jun is alive, he's with Halsey- ]
...Jun.
[ skimming the other noble team encryption, before finally continuing. ]
Emile's sending you a location ping, we'll meet you there.

Yes, sir, I'll be there!

[ not... that he's sure he really wants to know, because goddamnit, don't be dead. ]
Reply
[Following Emile's ping, probably be there in about an hour]
