[The video snaps on, shaking as though the wearer is running. Jin’s face flashes in front of the camera briefly.]
Everyone! Stay out of--ahh!
[There’s a high-pitched screeee and suddenly the camera jars violently, spinning as Jin is clearly knocked down by something. The view comes to a rest on its side and shows the Mantis charging forward, bladed arms raised. The camera rotates suddenly as the Mantis slashes down with one arm and there’s a sharp clang. Everything is a chaotic blur of color and motion until Jin seems to get back on his feet, the camera swinging to see the Mantis tugging its arm out of the ground.]
I found it, everyone stay out of this area until I oh no you don’t!
[It’s hard to tell what’s happening with the camera shaking so much, but there’s another shriek and a clang of metal, then a flash of a huge blade. There’s clearly a fight happening, and Jin doesn’t have time to turn off the feed. The view is swinging around wildly until there’s a thud and Jin lets out a yelp of pain. The Mantis shrieks and suddenly one of those serrated arms is coming straight at the camera. There’s a crack, a tearing sound and another cry from Jin, then the camera is spinning away through the air. The wearable hits the ground and spins a few times before coming to a stop, showing a view of a residential street and the corner of a park.]
[The fight continues for a few moments somewhere behind the camera, metal shrieking and clanging. There’s a roar and a keening cry from the Mantis, then Jin is backing into view of the camera as the Mantis advances on him. The Mantis is now missing a leg, but doesn’t seem to be very bothered by it as it slashes at Jin with both arms. Jin is deflecting the blows with what looks like a giant scythe, with a very distinctive clock gear at the top.]
[The Mantis suddenly barrels forward, parrying the scythe with one arm and slamming down on Jin with another. The back of the arm catches him in the side and he goes flying off camera again, one of his sandals spiraling away and coming to a stop against the wearable. The Mantis disappears from view as it pursues, shrieking. There’s another clash of weapons and the Mantis is forced back into the frame, though the fight seems to be taking place just off camera again.]
[Suddenly there’s a short scream from Jin that quickly turns into a snarl of rage.]
You goddamn bastard, JUST DIE!
[There’s a horrible screech and now it’s the Mantis that’s screaming. One of its severed arms lands in view of the camera. The robot shrieks again, there’s a scraping sound and the shriek is abruptly cut off. Something black spatters across the wearable’s camera.]
[There’s another sound like tearing metal, then a thud as something hits the ground. Black liquid-it’s clearly oil now-seeps into view from off camera and the only sound is Jin’s labored breathing for a few seconds.]
[Then he walks over and picks up the wearable. The destroyed Mantis is dissolving into silver powder behind him. Jin himself is only a little bloodied. He glares into the wearable, clearly still furious.]
That. [He points at the dissolving machine.] That is what I do.
[And he cuts the feed.]
