Ahaha... yeah I've been told that. I think so long as I do what is needed when it is important, I prefer to have the least amount of friction possible.

Hmmm, I suppose that's true. Well, I try to be less awful to the people I actually like! Being at least a little awful is sort of in the job description, though.

Oho! Here comes the science again! Well, I actually know about friction, sugar-head, and I know that when there's no friction, you don't go anywhere! Or you slip and fall down on the ice, either or. The point is, you coast. That's no way to go through life, hon. Not a happy way to go through life, anyway.

Ah? Well, I'll keep it simple, I daresay you've heard such before--you need to buck up! Be assertive! It's one thing to be as adorably sweet and caring and helpful as you are, it's another to let people walk all over you. At a certain point you have to stand up for yourself, yes?

I have a sibling rather like you. Sweet thing, so helpful, so nice. Always put her on register so she could greet the customers. Such a crybaby, though! Fragile, really. Can't handle the assholes we get sometimes. She puts on all that bright sunny happiness when people are looking, but then...

[She gives an expansive shrug to try and hide the fact that she was starting to get emotional there.]

Anyway, I suppose it's up to you if you take that advice or not, isn't it?
