[Anyone that's been outside and observant for the last few days might have seen a certain white-circuited program running and jumping through various zones like he had a purpose. He did, and this is it.

He's not sure how many people might want to know, so he figured he'd leave it open just in case.]

Oh, so people can leave this place? How's that work? What happens to them?

Hi, I'm new. Name's Shaun Mason.

[asldfkjlkjs hi. You seem... hyper?]

Greetings, User designation: Mason, Shaun.

Unknown. Previous instances suggest they simply disappear. Only known factor: high likelihood that leaving is involuntary.

[... that's not widely off the mark?]

User? Now that's new.

Ouch. That's not good - that's all there is on the disappearing? ... actually, is there anything more on appearing here?

You are human, correct?

Currently that is all we have on leaving the station. Arrival due to portal in the Junkyard; items from various worlds also arrive that way. Information on portal spotty. Suggestion: Inquire about portal information on the network. Several residents have been attempting to study it and potentially reverse it.

Yup. You aren't?

Thanks. I'll do that once I figure out what's what just a bit more. I'm not exactly overeager to leave, truth be told. Provided one other person stays here. Anyway! Maybe your friend was dropped off back where he came from?

Negative. I am a system monitoring program.

It is a nice place, mostly, in spite of what others may think. And I hope that he was returned home, if he was made to leave.

[full-on attention at the text, eyebrows slightly raised, but, well, space station?] Program, huh? That's... isn't that kinda complicated for you?

And yeah, kinda seems to be. And I hope he was! I mean, why'd he get put anywhere else, right?

[That question... actually confuses him. How do you mean complicated?] Negative? It is complicated to explain, but I live here the same as I lived on the Grid.

Would make sense, but given the unstable nature of the portal, would not be out of the realm of possibility.

With all the people running around, it's like where you come from? Cool! No culture shock must be the better option!

Erk. I hate it when there's a big unknown looming over my head.

Plenty of culture shock. Users have extremely unusual habits and phrases. They do not seem logical.

As do I. Must learn to handle it, however.

So, yes too complicated! Besides, people and our shit make much more sense if you factor in all the info. Except where almost nobody ever tells you all the info. Either hiding or simply lacking time.

Ye-ah. I'm so a winner at handling it. Or at least keeping on moving.

Have been researching. Has helped. Suppose humans will never fully make sense.

Moving is good, too. Keeps things interesting.

Hey, don't overthink it. Humans never make sense to other humans, either, except for a few specific exceptions. Like, one or two people ever might make sense to you... uh. To us. And then something happens and then we find out we've been wrong anyway. So... just go with the flow.

And we never want boredom, right?

[... that might be the best advice anyone's ever given him about humans.]

That is extremely useful advice. Thank you.

Negative. Curiosity: how do you deal with boredom, typically?

[There's more where that comes from!]

No problemo!

Me? I find something dangerous to poke at and then go home all safe and sound and blog about it.

You do this a lot?
