It's probably an infinite number.

There is an infinite number of sentients here?

emberandash May 14 2011, 20:27:38 UTC
An infinite number of dimensions.

That's a given to anyone who has even seen one different.

You asked how many dimensions people have been brought from, though. I answered. They're probably pulled from all over the place.

That doesn't necessarily make it infinite.

I've heard theories of the multiverse. Besides, it being infinite makes sense.

[long-suffering sigh]

I'm not debating the infinite-finite-infinite nature of the universe. What I am asking is how many dimensions are represented here, right now.

And unless you personally make up that infinite nature, do not repeat yourself.

All of us make up "that infinite nature".

[sorry Prime, she's decided that she's an expert on ~*the multiverse*~]

You didn't specify that you were only talking about what was represented right now, you just asked how many dimensions the rift has brought people from. And I answered.

I will speak slowly and use small words so that you can understand me.

The fact that I could count all of those here - and there are likely some records as to how many have been here since this started - makes it not infinite. Or do you need a definition for what that means? Or-I'm sorry, definition is a big word too. So is understand, come to think of it. It seems we're at a bit of a loss, here, so out of pity for your clearly primitive mind I will stop talking to you.

[hey, lady. you asked for that.]

If you want people to answer your questions how you want them to be answered, you should actually phrase them properly. If you're asking how many different dimensions have been represented here, past and present, it's safe to assume that you're not just talking about the people who are here right now. People have left.
