Some things about this place are familiar, but nobody else from home is here.

I was worried that'd be the case. I never thought I'd actually want to see a sproutling or a dudbear around. At least they'd be something familiar.

Do they have the kind of stuff here in your world? These teck-no-logi things?

... yeah. [ Took him a sec to figure out what she meant. ] A lot of the technology is similar, but Sacrosanct's is more... advanced.

Creatures from my world. Sproutlings are pieces of the Mana Tree, and they don't have souls... or they have one big soul, something like that. They're pretty creepy if you think about it. Dudbears are like living stuffed bears, they have their own language. They're kind of creepy too.

Things like lanterns that don't need to be lit with a flame, it's a lot to take in. Let alone the fact that a lot of the things here just... glow. Or blink.

[ Voice ]

Mana Tree? [ And lanterns? No wonder nothing's familiar to her. ]

Not sure what powers things here. Seems like electricity, but... [ That's only because nobody seems to know what Momentum is. He sighs a bit. ] How long have you been here?

The Mana Tree is the source of mana in my world. It's also the form our Goddess took after she created Fa'Diel.

Electricity? Lightning magic? [ That makes some sense... She's seen some of the mages in Altena attempting to harness the energy of lightning magic, but their attempts had met with little success so far. ] Over a month now. I keep hoping this is some kind of bad dream I'm going to wake up from, but so far no luck.

... something like that. [ He's really not sure how to explain that in a way that would make more sense to her. But that sentiment is something he can relate to, in a way. ] Yeah, I understand.

I have a feeling it's a common thing here. I've seen a lot of people complaining about wanting to go home. Others just kind of seem used to the place, like they've given up.

It's almost like day-to-day life here. Get-togethers, and people talking or arguing over these distance-talking things. I guess that's what happens when you're here for long enough. People show up, the others say hello, the same thing over and over.
