[He knew he shouldn't have handed over his disc so quickly. :|]
Honestly, after you'd already told me that I got infected and tried to kill my friend - who then had to kill me - it's not like more bad news would have made things any worse.

[Way to make Gibson feel vaguely guilty about being angry, Flynn. He's pretty sure the Flynn he knew would have argued back.]
I think that goes a little beyond just not-gentle.
Anything else you forgot to tell me, or was the genocide the only thing you skipped over? [That isn't fair, and Gibson knows it, but he can't quite help himself.]

Yes. Clu reprogrammed him. It didn't take entirely, because Clu's just not as good a programmer as Alan is, but the repurposed personality isn't pleasant.

I'd noticed that part. I thought Tron was derezzed, though.
The Sea of Simulation wasn't your fault, Flynn. I'm just saying that it's a little hard to be optimistic about one ISO escaping the purge when there aren't going to be any more of us, ever.

Okay, so to summarize: CLU reprogrammed Jalen into Abraxas and used that to kick off the whole Purge thing. Not counting me, there's one ISO left alive, and after this conversation I'm not hopeful she'll stay rezzed either. He also reprogrammed Tron into Rinzler, which gives him a different personality(?) and... not much else, unless I'm reading you wrong. No one mentioned Radia, but at this point I'm just assuming she was derezzed. Both of the sysadmins are stuck on this User station with no way to get back, and it sounds like CLU basically took over the Grid after I died.
Am I missing anything, or are we going to get to have this conversation again the next time someone from the Grid shows up?
The facts are correct. The presentation is self-serving.

Why didn't anyone mention this to me before now?

[Also he was distracted by your shiny, shiny code.]

I'm sorry, Gibson.

Did you think I wanted to hear about CLU "purging" the ISOs from the Grid from someone else?

It should have occurred to me that someone else would tell you and they might not be gentle about it. I'm sorry.

[He won't defend himself, but Tron's another story.]
One ISO survived. Anon saved her. Her name is Quorra.

Okay, so that's one of us that isn't derezzed. It's too bad that doesn't mean much when the Sea of Simulation is poisoned.

I failed the ISOs terribly, I know.

[Well, without an administrator, the Grid's probably going to spiral into chaos, so who knows what'll pop up? ...Wait, that's bad.]
It was my responsibility, though.
Both of the administrators are absent from the system. Nothing is going to go well on the Grid.
