...I'm not sure. Maybe it's a little bit of both. Time lost here and time gained there... Makes just about as much sense as anything else that happens here.

Yep. Mental state. Ideologies. How much that deals with sex is "too much". How wars come out - there may only be one victor but both sides see themselves as the one in the right.
