it identifies your computer...like, on those two comments, you and amanda have the same one, which means you were using the same computer...i have ip address identification turned on in my livejournal because i used to get all these weird anonymous/stalkerish comments from people, so i wanted to be able to trace them back to the writer.

get what i mean?
