dog days
Well, this begins five days of no work. Last Wednesday, the boss cane in while I was blanking out #5 discs, and said that he knew I had the 4th off, would I take off the rest of the week, if he gave me $50? Since the last time I took a random day off, even though it was sanctioned, we got pinched, I was naturally reluctant. I haven't felt any kind of disquiet though, so I'm guessing all is well.
My plan for the time off is to see fireworks tomorrow night in Newton, and work on clearing some of the accumulated mess off the back porch. I also want to finally get a pair of white harem pants made, and if that goes well, to make up a new sari, in a pink cotton, and possibly go to the SCA event this month, which is not too far away.
In other news, my fingernail peeked out about a week ago, but it's far from cutting length yet! Also, my rainy day funds are being diddled away, due a sudden attack of fiscal insolvency. Between lightning hits and cats, I've had to buy two TV's in the last month or so, and while I can't do anything about the lightning, evil things have been under consideration regarding the cats.
