You start to shiver and shake

Ok, so, I'm on a quest to listen to every CD I own. I have.. I don't know how many, exactly, not a massive amount, but enough to keep me busy for a long time. The thing is, some of the CDs I own I don't listen to very often, or have only listened to a couple of times in total. So, I'm going to listen to every single one of them, with breaks obviously, with no skipping. That means even if I hate a song, I see it through to the end.

I'm also going to post a review of every CD, whether you like it or not! Suckers! So prepare for my old ways of making 500 updates a day. You can find the complete list, if you really care, here.

I'm going to go from the top of the pile I just made down, which means that the CDs I listen to most, or have listened to most recently, will come first. I'm easing myself slowly into listening to the horrible, compunktion and moon ska europe samplers I bought two years ago, you see.

of course, these are all just opinions. I'm going to give honest opinions, but my taste may not be the same as yours, so... you know. It doesn't really mean anything. It just gives me something to do this 3 day weekend.

So here we go with what I've done so far:

Danse Macabre and I have a very balanced relationship. It gives me everything an amazing synth sub-pop dancy record should, and in return I give it hilarious faint dancing. Nine tracks, seven of which are awesome - the first seven, incidentally. not only is the music catchy, but the lyrics are abstract and thought provoking, and I love reading them and thinking about what the hell kind of drug they were on when they wrote it. It's beautiful, really. Best tracks - Agenda Suicide, Glass Danse, and Your Retro Career Melted.

I never in a million fucking years thought I would like Motley Crue. I sort of, put them at the back of my mind with AC(lightning bolt)DC and Led Zep and tried to forget about them. but then, when I got into twisted Sister, I was like... fuck, time to give this band a chance. And fuck, this album is great. If the Faint make me dance, Motley Crue make me leap around my room singing at the top of my lungs. I love it. Best tracks - Girls Girls Girls, Kickstart My heart, and Shout At the Devil.

Yes, it's a pop album. Yes, it sounds like Justin Timberlake with catchy guitar riffs. but I like JT sometimes, and I like Maroon 5 too... sometimes.
The reason this CD is near the top of the pile is because I'm hopelessly addicted to She Will Be Loved. The rest of the album... meh, I could live without it, but sometimes I really just want to warble along to foot-tapping pop songs, you know? That's what Maroon 5 is for. It's not really a good thing when they release the best tracks on the album as singles. I like to have a nice surprise. Best tracks - She Will Be Loved, This Love, The Sun.

A lot of people's favourite Trio album, my least favourite. It used to be my favourite too, and I like the lyrics, but some of the melodies and the guitar riffs really grate me sometimes. That said, it's a great album, and it still means a lot to me, I just have to be in a certain mood. Filled with classics like Cringe, Cop, Clavicle, and the bonus tracks on my UK version make it better. I still like to crank it up and sing along to every word, because it's the Trio, and to me they can do no wrong. Best Tracks - Nose Over Tail, Clavicle, and Sorry About That.

That's all for now. This is going to be FUN, right?

Hahaha, sorry.
