I see that some things never change around here. I hope everyone enjoyed their very interesting weekend.

I rather enjoyed being a casino owner.

For the profit or for the entertainment?

Both, actually. It did make an excellent profit and most of the time was exceedingly entertaining.

It seems like most of the City was affected. Should I even ask where they thought they were?

There's a City in America called Las Vegas. I went sometime in the fifties, I think. [he knows the dates won't mean much to Menolly. He waves his hand, dismissing them] Quite a long time ago. It's a City built on gambling, drinking and adult entertainment. It's earned a bit of a nickname: Sin City.

A city known for sinning.

That actually explains a lot of what I saw over the weekend.

Does it? I suppose it would.

I think I'd like to see a city built on the idea of sin.

Perhaps if we discover a way to leave the City, I'll take you. I think you'd enjoy it.

Perhaps.

I imagine I'd be suited for the stage, even if it would be a bit... bright.

[That is a bit of a leering grin]

You would be lovely on stage.

Well, Harpers are meant to perform.

And you would be biased.

Would you prefer I weren't?

I didn't say that, did I?

You didn't but a good deal of communication lies in what isn't said.

Ah, but can that lack be relied on? Especially when someone isn't close enough to adequately read body language.
