[He had been raging in his cage for almost a week, now. Bouts and fits of anger resulting in the walls denting and groaning under the force of the angel bent on escaping and leveling the City in order to find just one small target.

But the soft singing is what draws his attention, stopping his endless attempts at escape briefly. Castiel peers back at the small lizards with wings in an attempt to glean the origin of the song. He furrows his brow, waving a hand at the creatures.]

Move aside. All of you, go away.

[sings4dragons]

[The little gold blinked her jewel-tones eyes at him before she hissed softly and pulled away, leaving Menolly, bent over a desk, in full view. There's no pause in her singing as her attention was locked on her work.]

Oh. You.

[Brow furrowing again, because clearly she's not paying attention. Possibly directly ignoring him.]

You're Dean's friend. The one that almost died. [another pause] I was a woman when I helped you. ...Hello?

[sings4dragons]

[Hearing something other than dragon chatter pulls her attention away from her work.]

Oh! I'm sorry. I didn't realize they were actually talking to someone.

[The halt in singing seems to irritate him, but Castiel doesn't speak on it just yet.]

They turned on your device, probably.

More than likely. They like the Network.

[As evidenced by the noses trying to poke their way back onto the screen.]

[He pays them no attention, and has a hard time stopping himself from saying things he doesn't necessarily mean. Pie will to that to a guy.]

They're irritating. I was enjoying the song.

[For a moment, she frowns at him as she moves to take the device away from the little dragons.]

I would prefer it if you didn't speak so badly of them. They're family to me and I'll have you know they sing as well. Quite beautifully, if you must know.

[She watched him on the screen for just a moment before looking back at the amassed dragons. A questioning chirp broke the silence before Menolly started signing once more and just a few beats later, the dragons chimed in with their high, trilling voices.]
