[The little gold dragon chips at the person on the screen, her head tilting back and forth as if she's trying to make sense of how a person got in the little box.]

Hi, hi. [Rains voice is quiet as if trying not to scare the little dragon.]

So pretty. Pretty voice and pretty to look at. I can sing too, but not so nice as you do.

[Still, she hums a little Lakota lullaby under her breath, as if she's not even quite aware she's doing it.]

[Now three more colorful noses poke into the picture at the sound of Rain's song, all of them intently listening. After a long moment of silence, they pick up her tune, but in chords. It takes them just a moment to adjust before they sing it back to her.]

[There was a soft gasp, then Rain began softly singing the lullaby, eyes huge at the sound of the tiny dragons singing with her.]

[Oh, that just brought even more of them into the picture now, each of the newcomers jostling for a spot close enough to see what was going on. Soon enough, six of the brightly colored dragons were singing with Rain now with the other four chirping and trilling as if curious why their siblings seemed to have lost their mind.]

[Rain's eyes grew even wider, if that was possible, as the others joined in. But their support gave her encouragement and she sang more confidently.]

[They kept singing on with her, their soft voices rising and falling in descants that no human voice could ever hope to master.]

[Rain finished the lullaby and feel silent, just listening to their voices with pure delight.]

[sings4dragons]

[Several noses poked closer to the screen, all off them chirruping as if to thank her for singing with them.]

Oh, that was beautiful! I never imagined you'd sing with me!

[sings4dragons]

[Now that catches Menolly's attention finally, as evidenced by the pause in her singing.]

Is that what they were up to? I was wondering why were they playing with my device. I hope they didn't bother you.

[livingmyths]

Oh no! [Rain's voice was breathless.] They were... they sang with me and they were so beautiful and oh, I hope we didn't bother you!

[sings4dragons]

Not at all. I'm used to hearing them, as they've been with me for years now.

That's just... it's amazing.
