My recent fave is the lovely French-Canadian Jorane. I became acquainted with her music last Fall when a Canadian friend sent me a mix cd. I had the pleasure of seeing Jorane in Seattle on April 12th at The Triple Door. Her show was phenomenal. It was she, her cello, and a guitarist. Raw and beautiful. She signed her new cd, The You and The Now, after the show. I spoke with her for a couple of minutes...very sweet woman. I love her new album but I think my favorite is her Canadian release, Vent Fou.
